Nalgene Water Bottle Trick
Posted by Camp Trainer on Feb 3, 2009 in Water Bottles • No comments • 520 viewsNalgene water bottles are very common and popular amongst campers and hikers alike. I’m especially fond of the wide-mouth bottles.
But sometimes you get the cap on your nose if you took a swig out of it. The plastic leash that secures the plastic cap to a Nalgene bottle acts like a spring when the cap is open. You must hold the cap firmly awy from the bottle when you take a drink or the tensioned leash will cause the cap to snap shut in your face.
The solution is to remove the cap with its attached leash and reverse the leash on the mouth of the bottle and your face! Simple as that.
High Sierra Mesa 1000 ML Lumbar Hydration Pack - Clearance Price - $19.95
The dual insulated bottle holders of High Sierra’s Mesa 1000ML lumbar hydration pack each hold a sturdy GE Lexan® water bottle (included), making it easier to keep hydration close by. I personally use this comfortable hydration pack for short hikes - except mine are replaced with Nalgene bottles. But this price is definitely unbeatable and totally worth it.
