How To Break In New Boots

The traditional method: Wear boots an hour or two each day until they fit properly. This painful procedure takes about a week.
The preferred method: Fill each new boot full of lukewarm tap water. Allow the water to soak in for about 15 seconds, then pour it out. Now put on the boots (with the correct socks of course) and walk them dry. It should take about 3 hours and result in about 50% break-in. Wear the boots around the house for about an hour each day for a week following the water treatment, and they’ll be sufficiently broken in for hiking.
